Jewellery is so much more than just trinkets or accessories, the pieces we hold dear or gift today will one day become precious heirlooms handed down from generation to generation, and with them stories will be passed on – from mother to daughter, grandparents to grandchildren, through family, friends and lovers. Stories of love, laughter and celebrations, perhaps even stories of heartache or loss. Jewellery represents the special occasions and significant people who make up our life story.
Welcome to the wedding of Tecia & Tom, who began their journey into married life on May 6th, 2017.
Jewellery was a focal point in this wedding, rings notwithstanding. Bespoke earrings were made, as a gift to the Bride from her Mother, a keepsake to hand down to future generations. A personalised initial disc for the Bride, a gift from loving Grandparents, representing a baby name brooch belonging to Tecia many years earlier, unfortunately lost in a break-in.
The bouquet was created to represent people who were important in the Bride's life. A special reminder of Nonno, a Grandfather no longer with her, was embodied in a Stow Locket and fastened to the bouquet to symbolise his inclusion in Tecia & Tom’s special day. And for Nonna (Grandmother) a brooch with a photo of Nonno, her husband, to be by her heart always.
Special thanks to Tecia & Tom for allowing us to share your day. G&J x
