“Tessa at ‘Gems and Jewels’ did a fabulous job on our commissioned pieces of jewellery.

We loved being in Egypt some years ago and with a significant birthday looming we decided to give each other matching Egyptian ‘cartouches’ (pendants). They were each inscribed with hieroglyphs (we sourced the images) with our respective names on them. Tessa made a few prototypes and when we were happy, went ahead with gold. What a fabulous job she did! We couldn’t recommend her more highly. She had never attempted a cartouche before and when completed, her enthusiasm and excitement were contagious.

We were equally happy. All staff throughout the process were very friendly and professional – no task was too much trouble – well done team!.”

We recently had the pleasure of working together with Ellen and Michael to create their dream engagement ring. It’s such a joy to work with a couple to create something they truly love. Here’s a little of what Ellen had to say about her & Michael’s journey to the perfect engagement ring….

“My fiancé Michael was searching for an engagement ring for me for about a year, dealing with snobby jewellers in Melbourne who were refusing to give him what he wanted and trying to force $14k+ diamond rings on him.

Eventually he gave up, asked me to marry him without a ring and we started looking together.

I live in Ballarat and was recommended Gems & Jewels. I was a little scared that they would be out of our price range but after speaking to Jacinta, she told me that they could custom make a ring for us in any price range!

Michael and I ended up finding an incredible loose stone online and Jacinta designed us a custom ring around it.

The final product is so exquisite, I can’t believe that it’s mine!

And all for a fraction of the price that Melbourne stores were trying to
force on us. The process with Gems & Jewels could not have been easier and Jacinta was so lovely and gave us excellent advice.

I could not recommend G&J more highly!

Eric was recommended to go to Gems and Jewels for my engagement ring by my sister, he chose so well and we didn’t think twice about returning for our weddings bands. I knew I wanted a simple rose gold band and Eric ended up getting a touch of rose gold on his ring as nice way to tie them together. We really loved how Gems and Jewels considered what we wanted and looked after us by making sure our rings were sparkling perfectly for our big day.
